Series of comedic shorts

I've posted some shorts I did for Baltimore's CItyPaper .

These were shown at the "Best of Baltimore" awards party last year. The venue had over 40 flat screen plasma displays, so everywhere you looked you could see the films playing. The idea was a spoof on how the Best of Baltimore awards were decided. Instead of being polled by the readers, they were "discovered" by a scientist who appears at the end of each peice.

The site is a production site for another 9 films for this year's party.

Hmmm... I watched a few of them, and I'm not really sure if I completely "get it". They were all well executed (the one's I watched), but the subject matter just didn't make a lot of sense to me. I went and read the "what's this all about?" section, but it didn't really help explain things any better.

I will say, that after the first one I was thnking "what the fukk was that?"... but as I began to watch a couple more, and knew the style and what to expect, I became increasingly intrigued. With the music and the style of shooting (steadicam probably helped a lot), and after watching a couple, they became somewhat hipnotic.

Not sure if I'd catogorize them under "comedic", but there's definitely something strange and compelling about them. They NEED to stay together, though. If I only got to see one of them, it wouldn't have near the same effect.

Nice Job... I think ;)

Yeah, I see your point. They were made for a one night event - seeing them within the context they were shown would probably help a lot.

Thanks for commenting.
