I don't remember exactly where the serial # plate is on a DVX100, but it's probably either under the viewfinder or on the bottom of the camera where the tripod socket is.

Barry is right.. i've owned my share of DVX100 cameras and the serial and model number is under the eyepiece of the camera on a sticker.
