Serenity

Saw this trailer the other day. Yeah it looks real cool. I never watched Firefly, but some friends I know got into it and said it was real good and a shame to get cancelled.

I have tickets for the May 5th preview.

AND I met Joss Whedon and he said it was an honor to have the door held open by me when I held the door for him! He's a cool guy.

Okay, I'm done bragging. I've only seen 10 minutes of the show but it was quite good. I have moderately high expectations. I'll let you know what I think next week!

My buddy is really into Firefly and has been hyping this flick to me for months. Caught the trailer yesterday, looks pretty fun. I'm game.

I love firefly! I bought the series on DVD and didn't know what I was getting into. Its one of the best written shows I've seen. And true, it is a shame that it was cancelled, it had such potential

man, i cannot wait for this movie. firefly was awesome, it never should've gotten cancelled. who knows, maybe they'll bring it back like they brought back family guy...

Painful as it is to do first thing in the morning, I am doing my happy dance!!! I am a HUGE fan of Firefly!!! This movie is going to be great, the cast works well together and they play off each other superbly. I was worried that after the time between series cancellation and movie production, that the original cast wouldnt be able to sign on, but it looks as if they did. Now I want to rewatch all my Firefly dvd's!!! But then the song will be stuck in my head until the movie premiere.

Sept 30th seems soooooo long to wait!

I've seen it. Not bad but definitely not great. Still cool and fun. Some very funny scenes and a fun ending, too. The narrative lags for the first 40 minutes to an hour, though. Fans of the show will definitely love it, except that some characters get killed off (I won't say who!)

didnt look interesting at all to me. looks like a video game halo type. and when the girl fights i just thing wow they needed a better material art training.

Saw it for the second time. It's really-low budget but good anyhow. The first two acts were slow, but the third act was really fun. Not for everyone, though.

Also, I have a signed T-Shirt from this screening and a key ring from the last ne so of course I'm biased!

I went to one of the Serenity panels at Dragon*Con. The actors were very tight-lipped about spoilers, but they showed a short clip from the movie and HOLY CRAP it looked awesome. I need to rewatch the DVDs before the premiere on 9/30.

I loved Firefly, and like most fans was hugely disappointed when the network decided to cancel it. I can't wait for this new flick to come out - I'll be there opening night!

I'm sure everyone knows this, but the Sci-Fi channel is currently running all the original FireFly episodes on Friday nights. Apparently there were three episodes that never aired, but Sci-Fi is going to air all of them...

That's awesome that Sci-Fi is finally giving the series the respect it deserves. I was amazed at the number of Browncoats at Dragon*Con, and I'm going to be there opening weekend as well. It's important that this movie opens big. Most of the cast are signed on to do two more sequels, so a big opening weekend could guarantee that they get greenlit!
