Hey everyone,
So I went out and shot some skateboarding with my dvx, normal aspect ratio at 60i.
I set my sequence settings like this:
Frame size: 640x480
Aspect Ratio: NTSC (4:3)
Pixel Aspect Ratio: Square
Feild Dominance: Lower (even)
Editing timebase: 29.97
I assumed these setting were correct because when not shooting squeeze or letterbox the dvx shoots 4:3
But when i drag clips into the timeline FCP asks to change my sequence settings and it gives me:
Frame Size: 720x480
Aspect Ratio: NTSC DV (3:2)
Pixel aspect Ratio: NTSC CCIR 601/ DV (720x480)
So my question is: Does the DVX actually shoot with an aspect ratio of 3:2? Should I just let FCP tell me what to do?
Thanks:dankk2:
