Sensor cleaning. What's your solution?

So I know it's coming. I've already blown dust off my sensor a ton of times. I know one of these days, it's gonna have some crud on it that won't blow off. What's the solution? For my still cam, I just take it to Samy's for a "wet clean". Does me right every time. Think I could do the same with this camera?

It just hit me that it doesn't clean the sensor automatically every time i power up or down like the 7d does...
 
I've become (unwillingly) somewhat of a master in sensor cleaning as I have had to clean my 5D Mark II too many times to count (it's a dust magnet). (I wrote a long article about it last year: http://www.needcreative.net/main/20...sor-cleaning-hell-what-worked-what-didnt.html

I have found that crop sensor cameras seem to be better with this (well the 7D, T2i, etc.) No idea why. Maybe they're built better, maybe it's because they simply have less size, maybe it's the DOF difference, who knows?

Anyway, yesterday I noticed I had some moisture spots and dust on the FS100 sensor. Now keep in mind I didn't see the dust in the image (the 5D is far more sensitive in this regard with it's smaller pixels), but I wanted to clean it anyway to remove the moisture spots.

I blew into it with the sensor facing downward using a rocket blower and then I used a SensorKlean Lenspen to buff out the spots. Perfectly clean again.

I expect to have to clean this sensor less for the above reasons (and it seems to have a better coating on it than my 5D; it was very easy to clean). But I'll make sure a wet Sensor Swab and a LensPen is in my kit just in case something happens in the field.

Hey Paul,

I've got the same problem right now, a dust particle landed on my sensor! So what do you suggest?

What is a rocketblower?

Edit: I used a Giottos blower as per the user manual on page 20 and it WORKED!

I use this. I've read several times on Photo forums that even Sony techs use this when people have brought their cameras to them for sensor cleaning:

From a post on that forum:

"talking about sensor cleaning, other day had a workshop Sony technicians were there with the A230, A330,A500 , A550 , A850, and A900 plus all the new lenses. They cleaned everybodies sensors which needed cleaning. They have like a pen with a clear poly urethane block on the end it is slighly sticky, just push the block onto the sensor and the dirt comes off with the block just wipe the block clean again. I never took down the part number seems like a very nice way to clean a sensor. ( the poly urathane feels like those kids toys that sticks to wall and floor when you drop it and onces you put it in water all the dirt comes off)
