- MKE 2-3 Sennheiser lavalier microphone MKE -2 w Lectro TA-5 connectors & K3 power supply with 2 position low cut roll off.
- $140 shipped CONUS
- This is a top quality mic indistinguishable from a Sonotrim and to my ears better than a Tram.
(Don't confuse with much cheaper ME-2 that comes with the G2 and G3) - These is the original mic that is now more commonly sold as the "Gold " version on B&H & other sites. The gold models however contain an audio pad for live shows where singers are often very loud. This is better for common video purposes.
- Functionally very similar to the modern MKE 2-60/K6 at B&H that sells for $599. That uses a K6 power supply using AA batts. The K3 power supply is the older style that takes a small 6V PX23 battery and is a little longer.
- The TA-5 connectors are a mod that allows you to use the mic with a wireless or other power supply.
- Comes with tie clip and a few other access. No windscreen but that can be purchased easily from B&H
- BTW these can be converted to use with a sennheiser G3 just by purchasing an adapter cable to go from TA-5 to the G3 mini connector. That's how I run my G3's and you can have a few made up at Location Sounds for less than $50.
