The ME66 is a shotgun so the MD46 is a good choice. You may also want to checkout the Sennheiser ME45 in the K6 series.

I've got 3 of them, and they work great. The handle is a little long, but it's the perfect size when you add a mic flag. The other mics look too short with a flag. Also, I just think the MD46 has a better shape than the other dynamic mics.

It is a cardioid, so your talent has to have good mic-ing technique. But since it is cardioid, it will also reject a lot of the off-axis noise. This is the go-to mic for a ball game or a nightclub.
