I have the Sennheiser Evolution G2 100 Series - Wireless Microphone , and looking for a hand-held Mic option for this kit , I saw the SKP100 G3 Plug-In Transmitter , but I feel it make the mic look long :undecided on hand , any other options plesae .
Thanks

Any of the SKM 100 series G3 will work (and 300 series, and 500 series, and 2000 series as well).

You have a vast choice of microphone heads as well.

If you want a decent mute switch, get the SKM 300 G3 series.

Thanks , would I need the Plug-In Transmitter too ?
or the SKM300 will work remotely with my G2 ?

The SKM is a microphone with a built-in transmitter, so - no - you would not need the SKP plug-on at all.

The SKM 100 comes with a choice of 3 standard heads, but there are several others also available. - basically, virtually all the wired microphones are available as heads for the SKM G3.

G3 is fully compatible with G2 (and G1).

Thanks , I presume I should pick the one that has same frequency rang as my G2 .
(518 - 554 MHz)

Great , what dose the SKM300 offer over the SKM 100 ?

The main difference is more switchable channels and a programmable mute.

The G3 300 series is the only one with a large easy-to-use mute switch on the transmitter. You can programme this to be:
  • push to mute audio / push again to un-mute
  • push to mute RF / push again to un-mute
  • PTT - push to talk (ie: hold down)
  • cough switch - (ie: push and hold to momentarily mute audio)
  • have no function at all
This mute button is not available on 100 or 500 G3 series.
