I need to send about 10 hours of Avid omfi files I have captured to someone out of state to continue working on. What exactly do I need to do to have the other user be able to continue working on the edit and maintain the Bins etc.?
Copy the entire project over to the same hard drive. Your recipient will copy the project to the Avid projects folder, copy media to the OMFI MediaFile folder and away you go.
clone the files and test before you send. and also pack the Sh*t out of the drive for shipping, maybe a small pelican case inside a bigger pelican case... I used to do that while on location
