According to the manual, it suggests replacement after 1000 hours (pg64 - see below). I believe you have plenty of great usage left on both units. I've been doing video for 23+ years and have never had to replace heads, yet. Maybe I should knock on wood, but I think unless you shoot ENG everyday 365 days a year, approaching 1000 hours is not going to come anytime soon. My .02 on the subject. Also, these haven't been used for playback unless a tape had a weird ingest problem into FCP (rarety, maybe a handful of times), but normally ingest happened with a Sony DSR-11. Great deck to have, IMHO.

Are you interested in the whole package? Tripods, controller, and all? BTW, I'll include Barry Green's book/DVD...wasn't sure if was in listing originally.
