SEL 10-18 mm for FS700?

I'm curious too!
With the fiasco of the 18-105 f4 power zoom, I'm now a bit careful of the sony lenses. Which ones are really compatible with the FS700/100?

Same. Amazing how much goodwill they lost with one ill-conceived product.

Curious about the 10-18mm as well, though. Is there any reason to choose it over the highly regarded (and significantly cheaper) Tokina 11-16? Slightly larger focal range, but also a stop slower. Autofocus and OSS are much less useful on such a wide lens.

It's just incomprehensible why they released a power zoom lens and excluded their flagship e-mount cameras. Why in the world did they bother to give the FS700 a zoom rocker if the first power zoom lens (besides the now kit lens) is incompatible?

Besides that, I like the Sony lenses because of the auto focus, OSS and light weight. With those on, the FS700 is actually usable hand held!

I have very good results with the 10-18mm, very few distortion for such a wide zoom.
I could compare first hand with the 18-105 OSS (Oh So S**ty) and well, really there isn't much to compare...

Actually, it's often too wide for outdoors, unless you're shooting the grand canyon. But it shines indoors and saved me couple times. I always have it in the bag ;)
If you can get it second hand, i believe it's a great deal. If you also own a NEX still camera, that a must buy!

Thank you Rashaar. Good review. I would use indoors for architecture. Cheers
