seems pany and faccebook are at it again for the gh1

well , I got the gh1 with 14-42 for 375 and both lens and camera were delivered within two weeks from Panasonic - don´t think adorama can touch that , soylent green and all !
 
My last two were ordered on 3-10 and 3-13. When I called Panny last night they were saying they were out for pickup by UPS. Today UPS dropped both off, sitting here unopened yet. Kurth that sure was a sweet deal with the lens included. I missed that deal, but when it happened, I was still waiting for the GH2.
 
Wait, I know this thread is about the GH1, but did any of you guys see in the Panasonic VIP store they have the GH2 body for 795? Granted there is no telling when it will actually be in stock.

Facebook Fan's Only Deals lists it at $675 by the time you get to checkout and it comes with all the uncertainty of delivery as we all know of. :-)
 
I ordered mine on the 15th. I didn't get a confirmation email, so I went to the site and logged on to track my order, but there's no record there. Called Panasonic Direct yesterday, and they confirmed my order and told me that it was in "outbound" already. Went BACK to the site and logged in and STILL not showing up anywhere....

Hope it gets here...

Will keep you posted.

so these will be NTSC only??? if we can't hack them ... then we won't be able to switch to Pal???

thanks for the heads up. Found out through the automated service that my order was shipped yesterday. I got a tracking number, but when I plugged it into UPS it wasn't showing any info. Oh well, at least I know it should be on it's way.
 
Mine came in. Smaller and lighter than I expected. Also my nikon adapter came in so I put on the old 50mm lens I had, and it's gonna take some getting used to. Also the polaroid shoulder mount came in. Definitely glad I ordered it. Of course I knew I'd forget something and I forgot a mini hdmi cable/adapter. Well, after playing with it for 20 min, it's safe to say it will be a while til you see any good footage from me. :tongue:
 
Nevermind.... looked back in the thread and saw that you ordered on the 9th. Glad you got it. Really looking forward to comparing it to the GH2.

Interesting. Did you just accidentally transpose those numbers? It shows $765 at checkout for me.

I just went back and rechecked. As long as you have "liked" panasonic and have established an account, once you get to the payment page it converts. I guess that is one step further than I mentioned earlier.

It probably came a day or two earlier, I don't check my p.o. box everyday. They said they don't ship to boxes, but since they ship UPS and my box is at a UPS store, I chanced it and they did deliver.
