Seeing the P2 filenames

I would like to know how the files are named on the P2 card. May i give it a name and then it add a number at the end of each take? Do i see the filenames on the LCD screen? Is it possible to see that filename on the YUV output?
The reason i'm asking that is the worflow that i have in mind. Actually, i work in DV and capture all on the set directly from my camera to a Powerbook running Final cut pro. So, all my clips have already the good names, i indicate all the good takes, i can write log notes based on what happend on the set... And as soon as i come in my editing room, i just have to copy the media files and the FCP projects, reconnect automatically the medias and i can start to edit. I LOOOOOOVE that workflow. I would like to do the same using the HVX200 and P2. All i have to do, i think, is knowing the filenames that are write on the P2. What i would like is an assistant with the powerbook and an LCD (connceted by wire or HF) that indicates him the filemnames of the takes. In FCP i create an offline project and i use the P2 filenames. I can keep all the log notes that i want. And finally, in the editing room, i reconnect the media. Since it is the good filenames, FCP can do it automatically.
So, is that possible or do you see another way to keep that workflow? Any help is very welcome before i make my decision to buy the desired HVX200!!!

No, it names files itself, using a four-digit number (starting at 0001) and a two-letter random combination (so a filename might be 0001Y6.MXF). The next clip might be 0002IM.MXF

Do i see the filenames on the LCD screen?
Well, if you go to the P2 menu and choose clip properties, you can see the file name there.

Is it possible to see that filename on the YUV output?
No, but you can see it on the s-video or composite output.

Well, be aware that you can do the same workflow even without P2. You can capture to FCP directly, and do exactly what you're talking about, except in high-def instead of standard-def!

I would like to do the same as i do now but without having a cable hanginig between two expensive piece of material. The best would be an external HF monitor dispaying the image and the filenames. I could do that with the composite output as you propose but in that case, may i also use the YUV output for HD monitoring?
