see it with ya peepers!

Hi, we have just finished the preview for "Tales Of The Maize" , we shot the whole thing on a DVX100A. Have a looky, I hope you like it, I found it rather a steep learning curve working with the sound, graphics and making it look as professional as I could, as usual with actually no budget at all this time...

The camera itself was just fantastic to work with, though I would say it was not to good in low light in 25P...

Wow! Excellent Work!

Did you add any special things to the dvx100a to get that good look? No 35mm lens? And please tell us what equipments you used to get such a good sound from the actors. Thanks!

you have seen children of the corn I, II, III, IV, V, 666 and Revelation (VII) right?
coz i haven't (i don't think i could bare too) so i couldn't tell if they're similar to your film, but i think the corn is similar. maybe it was an influence in some way?

Hi guys, thanks for looking and genuinely dead pleased you like it so far... It has taken me a lot of time to do. It's only 1.5 minutes long but as you all know it's hard to come up with something you're really happy with, and learning to do the graphics was like pushing custard up a hill to someone like me..
No special equipment was used on the camera apart from the matt box. Just colorised it in FCP.
I have not seen any of the Children Of the Corn movies, I just love the creepiness of " maize " or corn, and how you can't see someone 2 foot away from you.

I would guess that, other than being in the hands of people who know what they are doing, the DVX in question is PAL. Higher resolution. Noticing you're in the UK.

Great job by the way. It definitely made think of Children of the Corn when I first saw this project earlier this year.

Keep up the great work.
