Not authorized for US, I'd love to see it.
I gotta say that Insta pic of your build looks awful! : )

That rig looks as terrifying as the 35mm adapters/bazookas of old Sam! Hope it was worth it (I can't view the episode either... British bigotry towards the colonies clearly still continues!) :p

Actually the channel is Dutch.. (Holland) so don't blame the Brits :)

I had a love hate with the rig. At least my DP 502 gave me lutted niceness, the CN17-135 lens is really the only way to shoot live 'oners' (which is what we did) director feeding frame sizes to the operators earsets - every shot had to be one take because it relies on punter reaction and you cannot recreate a reaction to a trick/experiment/gag.

The 135 lens was not really long enough for Broll and some covert*shots.. though so sometimes we used a doubler which lost parfocality.

Overall I suggested we move to F5 cameras.. the FS7 and back box is a mess.. the F5 gives the same functions in a smaller tidier package.

We needed the back box to jam synch the cameras and add Vlock/get enough power for the Teradeck and sound schlop, still not enough power outs which is why my DP502 ran from its own BPU battery.

So IMO the FS7 was the wrong camera for this job. F5 or ENG camera would have been better but no ENG camera shoots 4k50p which is the delivery format (yuk!)

S

* you may wonder how one can be covert with such a rig! ? Line up a PTC but then shoot past the 'presenter'
