Like the title says, this is my second attempt at a music video. My first being for the "I dig incubus" contest, and nobody here commented on the video, so i took it as nobody was impressed. :violin:

So here's to this hopefully not sucking as bad.

Artist: Pato
Song: "Shoes"
Genre: Acoustic/Soul (Yay, not rap!)

I have a higher quality video on my website. Didnt want to lose all my bandwidth this month just yet though, so ask me for a link if you cant find it.

Man yeah i hate it when vids don't get commented on. Anywa i just checked it out, and i loved the style you went with. I felt that the super-8 esque look really suited the music, and it was well cut together. However there were a couple of small things i noticed - firstly, for some reason some of the lip sync looked a bit off, but that could just have been me, or the compression. Secondly, there was a portion of the song where he was plucking the strings and it looked as though he was strumming the guitar(the bit where he was seated at the side of the road). That kinda stood out to me.

Lastly, a suggestion...though it might be a bit cliche, considering the focus of the song on his shoes, i would probably have placed a bit more emphasis on the shoes of people - maybe his or his audience, or random people. Show how shoes maketh the man. But thats highly individual...just my 2 cents worth. In the end i felt it was a nice video which complimented the song well, and i liked the song to boot. (pardon the pun)

MalcolmOng - Thanks for the comment! i was actually hoping the style wasn't too cliche (film effects) but i dont think there was too many options to play with because of the style of the song. The reason some of it seems unsync is because it most likely isnt footage of him singing what the song is singing. All of that is actual live footage (minus the bedroom and walking, those were set up) The rest were him playing live and real events. So i was only given one take of the actual song, and then takes of different songs he sang. Editing was quite the chore, but i think it turned out good for what i was given.
