Hi Folks,

here is your german Friend with the bad english, but the german Boards are not so cool like here :-).

Ok: i want to buy a One Hand Gimbal. I am working with the Sony A7S + Metabones Adapter + Walimex / Rokinon / Samyang 35mm 1.4

This is very weighty i think: 445g + 744g + 5g = 1194g

And when i am filming clubs, sometimes i need an LED Light, but i dont think that is possible on the basis of the balance, right?

When my Equipment is to weighty i am thinking to buy a 24mm 1.8
http://www.amazon.de/Sony-SEL24F18Z...UTF8&qid=1437460364&sr=1-1&keywords=sony+24mm

i like the focal length.

Please share your experience!

Is it difficult to adjust a one hand gimbal? Is it working with an led-light?

Best Wishes,
B.

That's a bit too heavy for the one-hand gimbals that I know about: they all go up to 1Kg, and they don't have much room for balancing with such a big and heavy lens. You'll probably be better off sticking to the Came Single (which seems to be the best one-hand gimbal right now) and getting a lighter lens (I would say FE 35mm f/2.8 or FE 28mm f/2.0 if you'll go full frame, Sigma 19mm f/2.8 if you're going APS-C to reduce rolling shutter, Rokinon 12mm f/2.0 if you want to go wider on APS-C).

Also: I shot this entirely with the Rokinon 12mm f/2.0, handheld with no rig (just a pistol grip below the camera), and then applied stabilization in Premiere.

And I wouldn't use any LED lights. In a club, it makes it look like people are dancing in their living room. Watch this and read the description. With the a7S you can easily shoot in those conditions at ISO 3200 and f/2.8-f/4.

Gotta say, I really like my gimbal setup:

-Nebula 4000 lite Brushless Gimbal
-Sony 28-70 f3.5-5.6 OSS FE Lens

The lens has very nice autofocus with face tracking and extra optical image stabilization and it's all pretty well under the 1kg weight limit.

There are more and more One-Hand gimbal on the market, like Pilotfly H1, Came TV simgel hand gimbal and Nebula 4000 Lite.

I ordered Pilotfly H1+, it should arrive tomorrow (on Monday or Tuesday). Even though I didn't like that it lasts only 2 hours but for me the most important factor is size. Check cheesycam youtube video and the cases which are used to transport pilotfly and came single gimbals. If you are a pro and carry lots of stuff anyway, the size won't matter for you I think, go with came single as it's the most advanced gimbal today.

I mostly use A7s with Sony FE24-70 F4 OSS lens. Will see how it works with Pilotfly H1+ as it's a pretty heavy lense.

PS if you go with setup like mine, you need to order additionally a balance plate. Now I have to find a perfect case to fit A7s + Sony FE24-70 F4 (maybe FE 35mm f2.8 pancake) + H1+. Any suggestions?
