Is there anything wrong with using Seagate FreeAgent Pro 750GB hardrives
to store 1080/p raw footage? Or are these not technologicaly inclined enough for the file type?

I would buy a bare drive and an USB2, eSATA, and FW triple interface.

A one terabyte Hitachi SATA Deskstar runs $300.00 at zipzoomfly.

And solid toughtec from:

Get the best for backup.

Costco or Best Buy isn't the place.

It's manufacturers who specialize in solid data storage.
