Seadicam Certified

It's not really a "certification", but rather a skill you possess. No one will ask you for a "Certificate" to get on a set, just as you don't need to be "certified" to be a DP (well, some DPs are certifiable...).

However the best, and recommended, way to get started with Steadicam is to take a training workshop that will teach you everything you need to know for basic operation and how to begin to make shots - from there on it's just practice then.

Check out www.thesteadicamworkshops.com and www.steadicam-ops.com for lists of upcoming Steadicam workshops.

Oh, and if you take a workshop, they do give you a certificate at the end! :)

oh you guys, thinking out of the box. I was mainly curious because I've had some people ask me if I'm certified and I really didn't know what that means. I said I was good and they hired me lol but thats all I can say.

When people ask me, I just tell them that I am certifiable. Which is close enough.

i utilize the same strategy. except instead of me telling someone that i'm certifiable, the other person usually tells me that i am.
