SDX-900 or DVX-100a or HD ?

I'm shooting a national commericial this weekend. My producer wants the image to hold up against the competition. Could we theoretically shoot this with a DVX-100a ? The setup is just going to be the camera on sticks filmming a girl and a greyhound in a sunny room. Nothing fancy. Then there is always the option of renting an SDX-900 for improved imagery but we only have a $2000 budget and that would eat away at half our costs.

Just trying to get some ideas.

I'd stick with the DVX as it has been used for a lot of television productions. True the SDX will give you a better image, but the DVX already will give you a great image if used properly.

If you only have 2000 I would stick with the dvx and rent some good lights. Maybe a dolly so you can have some movement
