SDI Monitoring from HDMI cameras

What are professionals using to monitor from pro-sumer gear e.g. GH4, A7XXX, etc... I've owned the Atomos H2S Connect (sold it with my GH4 - now going at it again with A6500) in the past and it worked fine except no good mounting options. Please let me know if you have a better solution. Specifically a mounting solution that minimizes cable strain w/camera on slider or tripod (not hand held) settings. Thanks.

I have a blackmagic hdmi-to-sdi converter box that I bought back in the day so that we could feed GoPro footage when we needed to on the road. Now I use it when we need to put a 5D into one of my Decimator multi-viewers on multi-cam shoots. It's almost always a lock-off shot, so I've never really had to worry about strain relief on the cable(but don't get me started on hdmi use in the professional world). The box does have to be a/c powered, so that is sort of a pita. And now it's starting to give me fits with my 5Dmkiv. There are some smaller units out there now that can be battery powered and that may be better, so you could keep it on/with the camera.
