Hey there guys,

I've just bought an O7Q and it's on its way to me now :). However, as a total layman in terms of SDI cables I don't really know what makes a good SDI cable. I know they're more reliable than HDMI but I also know that there are some significant differences between SDI cables. The online stores from the country I'm from don't seem very keen on providing any kind of information on this subject.

It would be great if you could enlighten me and tell me what cable we need to make the most out of what Odyssey 7Q has to offer.

Maybe you also should say what country you're in. If you're in Italy the Martin's suggestion above is rather pointless, if you're in Canada, less so.

I think the cables should be rated for 3G(?) at least.

Sorry for the confusion - I'm from Poland, so American brands are hard to come by here. Unfortunately the cables I looked at were usually only described in terms of ohms (I believe the best I got was 75).

I've tested both Convergent Design cables (ultra thin but don't be fooled, they are perfectly reliable) and Cinecoil cables, both 10 and 20 inch and they all works perfectly.

Be careful the cable is 3G rated and the quality of the BNC connector (1st failure happening with time)
