Does the current firmware allow for the HDMI and SDI to output simultaneously

Yes as long as you don't engage the SDI A for external recording.

What do you mean by engage the SDI A. how in the world would the signal coming out of the SDI A port know is being recorded externally?

or are you saying that the signal won't come out of the SDI A but only the SDI port above the Video out port?

You have to engage SDI A in the menu in order to have a signal there. Do you have the instructions?

You have two options for HDMI and SDI simultaneously. HDMI and SDI (with display avail on both outputs) also plays back on both outputs ...OR... HDMI with display, and SDI clean on the "A" output. However, in this configuration, you cannot play back via SDI, only the HDMI during playback.
