SDHC problem.. and firmware update?

Hey there. I hope someone can help me out.
I just bought my HMC150 today and I'm having a couple of issues... first is that it won't record onto my SDHC card in PH or HA formats. The card is a SanDisk Extreme III 16GB.
I suspect (but correct me if I'm wrong) that because the card is class 10 that the firmware on the HMC needs to be updated. It's currently 1.19
HOWEVER
When I began the firmware update process (open card door, hold handle-rec and turn on) it just... well turns on like normal and says the card door is open. The LCD doesn't go black like the instructions say they should.

Any advice, comments, suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Are you sure that the switch on the side of the handle that enables the top record button is on?

Thanks KenP! I actually woke up this morning with that in mind. Let's just chock that up to a 2AM oversight :cool:

and the update DID solve my card problem as well! YAY
 
I have a new HMC 150 from yesterday (a grey import) so have no access to panasonic warranty site and have the card issue too.

Can someone please email me the firmware upgrade if it's small enough or tell me where I can get it please?
