SD uprezzed to HD compared to HVX.

This question might be in the wrong forum, sorry if so. My understanding is that SD can be uprezzed to HD; if so, curious if anyone knows how such an uprezzed end product would compare to HD product shot with HVX in 720? I wouldn't expect it to be the same, just curious about how the two would match up. Also, what might it cost to uprez 90 minute movie from SD to HD?

Sorry if this has been answered already, did search but too many possibilities came up, If asked and answered, just point me in right direction. Thanks.

Depends on the method, many cheap methods just export the image back out in 720p so it can just make some ubber sharp (too sharp) image. I would use Steven Depsey's method and uprez to 16:9 and make the frame size larger 720p instead of 480p for the cheapest most effective method. The option to take SD and make it HD usually isnt saught after, most common I hear is when you take SD transfer it to film then have the option to remaster it in HD.
