I'm a proud dvx100 owner, and about to get one of the first 171 expected to arrive in this part of Europe maybe next week. Something is unclear to me about the use of the SD slot in the 170/171. I know it contains metadata, scene file settings, etc... but someone told me it can be used by the camera to store mpeg4-compressed footage, while the same footage goes uncompressed to the P2 cards. Is this true??
