sd cards and p2 cards

Im about to buy either the hpx300 or 500, and i was wondering about the sd card.
Can you transfer the footage from the p2 cards to the sd card for dumping?

another question, and this is is going to be different for everyone, but if yall wouldn't mind. Between the hpx300 and hpx500, which one would you go with.

Im going to be renting it out at first and producing commercials and shorts/feature films later and on my spare time.

I would greatly appreciate any advice you all have.

Well the HPX300 has AVCIntra codecs and full 1080p sensors, but is 1/3" and CMOS. The HPX500 only has DVCPro HD and is not full 1080 native, but it is 2/3" and CCD. Which is more important to you the better codec with native res. or the larger ccd sensor? If you're renting the HPX2000 (non-variable framerates) or HPX2700 (variable framerates) is the best of both combined into one camera.
