SD Card

Ok, I have an SD card, but I dont have an SD card reader or anything, when the HVX mounts with firewire are the scene files readable?

I searched through the forums and didn't really find this question answered, and it doesnt say in the manual

Ide like to get scene files onto my computer to edit them (Without having to use another device besides the HVX to read it)

If not through firewire, USB?

Its probably an easy solution, but i'm brain dead right now...

No, the SD card can't be read through the firewire. You'll need some manner of card reader if you want to examine or edit the scene files.

Ok, thanks, I guess ill just have to find someone around campus that has an SD camera or reader.

Does anyone else find this a tad bit funny? Panasonic gives us a camera with a built-in P2 deck (a very expensive device in itself), a high-definition camera capable of variable frame rates, 4:2:2 color, and true single frame recording... but doesn't integrate the features of a $15 Walmart SD card reader... Hmmm....

I guess you can't have everything.
