SD Card & Scene Files

The HVX 200 manual says only 4 scene files can be saved on an SD card? Why? They're text files, correct? I'm a noob, just now trying to figure out Scene Files. I have a 2 camera shoot coming up next month -- need both cameras to look the same.

Four "packages" of scene files can be saved. Each "package" contains six scene files.

As to why it's limited to four packages, no idea. It just is.

So a 128mb SD care will be plenty, correct? What else am I likely to save on an SD card that would require more space?

No matter what your SD card size, the card can only store 4 scene file and 4 user profile.

Barry, thanks for the book. I finally got it last week...:)

An 8MB card would be plenty for scene files. You can also store User files, which are equally tiny. And you can store up to 100 metadata files, again they're very small.

As for what else you'd put on the card, firmware updates are the biggest thing. I think you'd want a 64MB card to handle firmware updates, so a 128MB card should be plenty enough for anything and everything.

I bought a 1 GIG SanDisk card at WalMart for $16. It was the smallest capacity card on the shelf. Office Supply store may hae them. Best Buy, Circuit City and other electronics stores and departments will probably have them.
