SD Card Recommendations?

I'm probably going to be picking up a Nikon D5200 or Canon t?i pretty soon. I'm wondering if anyone has any storage card recommendations?

I've been leaning towards class 10 SDXC, but I really have no idea if that's a good way to go.

Any input will be much appreciated. Thanks! ;)

Pretty much any Class 10 SDHC or SDXC card will be fine with either of those cameras.

It's only when you get into higher bit-rate hacked cameras where card speed becomes an issue.

For reliability the most popular cards are the SanDisk Extreme versions. I own two of the SanDisk 95MB/sec SDXC 64GB UHS-I cards, and they have worked flawlessly over the past year.

I also own a bunch of Patriot SDHC and SDXC cards, which have also worked flawlessly over the past 4 years.

Buying new low cost cards, I would consider the Patriot EP SDXC 64GB UHS-I cards which can be bought from NewEgg.com for less than $50 each. I own a few of these cards, and they have worked great with up to 100 Mbit/sec GH2 hacks.

I have Transcends that have done fine and I have a Lexar from B&H that failed. I tried a cheapo class 10 from China and its speed is as advertised and it has worked flawlessly. I am not a believer in "you get what you pay for." They all come from the same factories.

I've been using Transcend for the last 5 or 6 years, and I'm pretty happy with them. They're cheap, and though they've given me some occasional problems, they're the exception, not the norm. The proff that I'm happy with them is that I keep buying them when I need new cards.

YMMV
