I had a SandDisk 64 GB extreme pro 95 Mbs card failed when copying over video files from a shoot this weekend. I took out card from reader/computer and out back into GH4. It asked me to format. I then took out SD card and used a recovery program that came with card (rescue pro deluxe). The resulting scan recovered files that were small .mov that are 256k and several .JPG files. The 256k .MOV files open and the QT properties show they are my GH4 files (UHD) dimension size and duration, but no video. There are also these huge .jpg files (17GB and lower) that I believe are my actual video files. I then ran another recovery using different software and I have all of these .MXF files that are old video files that I had deleted months ago. I changed the .mxf ext to .MTS and the are in fact old GH2 files. I also show the recovered file folder size as only 15 Gb total although the saved image shows these huge 17 Gb .jpg files (some are 8 Gb, some are 12 Gb). So I have two separate scans with different file types and I cannot see the .MOV files at all and the file size itself in very small. The .jpg files that are 17gb are showing in VLC as "Motion JPEG" files, but VLC will not play or open them, neither will MPEG Stream clip or any other software that Ive tried. I know this is a lot of information but I need help. Anything is appreciated. I am unable to reshoot as this was a high fashion shoot on a rooftop with optimal conditions.
