Screwed up the hack

I followed every hacking step step to the letter EXCEPT I forgot to allow all languages. I now have a fully Japanese GH13 and can't figure out how to get English back. When I tried to re-load the hack and went to the playback button, I only get something in Japanese and no option to re-do the firmware upgrade... Also, the camera says it has firmware 0.0 and 1.1 on it. The guy I bought it from had installed the battery hack only and I did not remove it prior to upgrading to the hack...

Someone else must have had the same screwups... Help please! I can't figure out how to re-set the camera and start over again - everything is in Japanese!!!

I don't know if this will help but I had a Japanese language GH1 and to get it to see the hack firmware I had to ensure the mode dial was on Custom. When I had it on any other mode and pressed Playback it would not actually bring up the dialogue to load firmware. Don't know if this is the answer, but good luck.
 
Thanks, but that did not work (going into custom mode)... It seems that when I try and update the firmware (or revert back to 1.32) that the camera says there is no valid update on the SD card (I'm guessing since I don't read Japanese). My first upload of the hack was labeled GH1_39...

I was trying so hard to get this right the first time - now I have an unusable GH1 - until I figure out how to get rid of the Japanese... I tried to re-load original firmware... Am I doing something wrong since it won't allow me to update...
 
Looks like I'm able to change the firmware again... Crisis averted... Thanks for the help. Going into custom mode allowed me to re-load the hack and get back to English!
