Screens from Metal Video

[Glen Hatsumi]

Here are a few screens from the performance portion of a 'heavy metal' video we shot. It was kind of a neat experience as I certainly have never listened to this kind of music and am unfamiliar with the culture surrounding it. Hopefully we are doing something that those who enjoy the music will like.

sorry for making those bitmaps, the size is kind of ridiculous. I will repost them as jpgs later.

Clown metal? lol. The makeup looks like halloween but it kinda makes me more interested to see how the video turns out. Make sure you post it when your done. The .bmp aren't working BTW.

[MiniMan]

Really cool look, BMPs don't work. Nicely saturated colors, gotta see this when it's finished.

[Pettersen]

Did you use an adapter? Kinda looks like it.

[Glen Hatsumi]

Yeah we did use an adaptor for a lot of the close up work. We were shooting with a My35 made by Mike and a nikon 105 f2.5, it was a pretty fun shoot. The band didn't take themselves too seriously so we had a good time doing it.

[FXMediaLab]

I am really interested to see the finished product or at least a few samples (with audio). I didn't realize folks were still doing the whole "King Diamond" / "Merciful Fate" look.

Keep us up to date. Looks good from the screens.
