Screen Grabs from HVX200 Countdown

J.R. Hudson

Spirit Animal
Got this DVD today in mail. Not sure what is or is not not HVX imagery or if any at all? It's a cool little promo DVD that goes into nice detail running over the specs and features and all that jazz we all already know about. It's a pretty tight little production overall.

Anyway; sharing some grabs (Not sure what is or is not imagery as it never is really clear)

I picked up the brochure of the HVX at EVS the other day and noticed that it says mothing about 1080p in the specs. Only talks about 720p. I thought that was a bit strange.

Stas Tagios, thanks for the link. About how long is the DVD and how long did it take to get to you?

This issue seems to be a big one, as it has been alluded to several times since resfest. Any final word on this?!?!?!?

If it's the 8 1/2 x 11 black brochure (also available at the Panasonic site), it does say 1080i, 30p, and 24p on the back cover under "Shooting mode," along with 720/60p, 30p, 24p, and 480/60i, 30p, 24p.

The other variable frame rates will only be available in 720p.

As for delivery time for the dvd, it took a while. In fact, I forgot I even ordered one until the day before it actually arrived in the mail, just as I began to wonder "where's the dvd I ordered?")

It is nearly impossible to find any piece of literature from Panasonic that DOESN'T mention 1080p. It's on every brochure, every website, every press release, and every "Countdown DVD" they've distributed. I don't know how many different ways they can say it -- I mean, just go to their website and it says:
1080/60i, 1080/24p, 1080/30p, 720/60p, 720/24p, 720/30p, 480/60i, 480/24p, 480/30p

Go to the brochure, and it says:

Shooting Mode: 1080/60i, 30p, 24p,

720/60p, 30p, 24p,

480/60i, 30p, 24p

Watch the Countdown DVD and it clearly says "1080i, 1080p, 720p".

So why is this even in question? How many more ways can they say it?

Barry, unfortunately you need to impart important information on this forum in the form of a joke for many of our illustrious members to pay attention. You know the threads that take an hour to read becuase there's 24 pages.

I'm just bitter because most of the time I don't get the jokes - its hell getting old
