thanks dis. i have been workin on white balance- i never knew what a huge difference it made until i actually started workin on it. i'm amazed at the rich colors the dvx produces. we ran our footage through a high def wide screen tv and i was amazed at how filmic it looked. thanks for the comments. i'll try to bring out the blacks some more, see what it does.

nope, no filters or lenses. . i did a poor mans white balance though. didnt have any cards or white paper- so i had to lift my overshirt and whitebalance off of my t-shirt. embarassing to say the least- because the town was busy that day.

Those are beautiful shots. What's up with all the trains? I love trains, just wondering if you are doing a documentary or using them in a short, or what...

nah- right now we've just been going around shooting at our locations so we can re-watch what we take and get a better feel rather then just trying to remember what a place looks like. We do this because most of our film locations are an hour or more away.

The sharpness of these grabs is outstanding. No filters and no additional lenses, either.... I would love to get shots that are that clear. Can you share what settings you used? And are these grabs with no work in post? Really beautiful shots.

thanks a lot. No not at all. We are budgeting enough to make dvd's in sleeve's that we'll be giving out for free. We just want to get our names out- not make money. We're making about 200 with full covers that we're giving out to specific people, but once we're done- i'm going to make a post for whoever wants a copy to just give me your address. We MIGHT just have you pay shipping depending on how much moolah we have to use, but thats the most anyone will have to pay. Thanks again for the comments, they're much appreciated.

I actually like all those images as is!!! It is very reminiscent of a small film called 'the motorcycle diaries'- a film a enjoyed a lot, cinematography amongst other things.
I was very impressed. I particularly liked the shot through the wheels. And that off balance makes it look like old technicolor technology. Although I've seen what can be done in post, I'm still a big beiever in doing as much possible in camera. My hats off to you sir, .
