Screen 16 9 anamorphic un-squeezed digitally?

Hello people,

Let's say I have a film I made with the DVX100B and I used the anamorphic adapter. I want to screen it digitally in a cinema, so I have to give it to them in a format like HD CAM or DIGI BETA tape. DVD is no good due to excessive compression. How do I project or screen it in its undistorted/un squeezed anamorphic 16 9 state? What digital format would achieve that as standard?

HDCAM is inherently 16:9, and DigiBeta can be either 4:3 or 16:9. Just clearly mark the tape as "anamorphic 16:9" and if they have a reasonably competent projectionist they should be able to make it all work for you.
