ahh I love the Alice song...but I hate it as a reel song....dosen't fit, to slow... Reel feels way to long for me... Id rather see 60 sec of great stuff then 3 minutes of ok stuff...

but of course Im a DP not a Director thats Hireing you so perhaps they have a complete diffrent view...


but the big question is who are you showing this for and what did you do on this stuff...its a show reel for your production compay? a DP reel? a Directors reel?

hey ozy, I'm glad you spoke out against squares, cause only cool people like fake tits and speed boats, and i guess you are pretty cool. I'm here for the art side of things, not the make a buck, and who can i f--k kind of thing. I made up the tipsy thing to give it a squared edge. I'm glad you loved it. The real squares of the world follow the statis quo, and the status quo apparntly desires fake tits, and fast speed boats. The remarks on this post prove it.

Must be nice making a living out of manipulating other people to buy stuff they actually don´t need.
But I guess she is only doing it for NGOs or other non-profits and of corse pro bono, right?
And I also was offended by those good looking guys promoting the stereotype footballplayer image most fat kids in school including me never managed to fulfill...

Was all the footage shot on the HVX? If so wow. That was a good reel, keep up the good work. I think the length was perfect. It showed composition, effects, editing, lighting etc.

The only thing I found wrong was the coloring (for commercial work the colors did not pop out). Then again that was a QT compressed movie.
Overall very good work

I've cutted the boobs, killed the horses and erased other things according to a statistic based upon your comments. I've also added a couple of shots i couldnt resist to.
The framerate problem has been fixed.
I did almost everything in this shots, including catering sometimes, so, i dont know what i'm really selling, basically filmaking from concept to copy.
Or, I'm just out here trying to "make a buck, and f--k someone"

I love the meditation shot. Great colour , skin tone and exposure, though now i miss the red hallway, and the horses.

I love the shower shots. The best skin tone of all the clips.
Are you shooting mostly stock footage?
Anyway, really nice and diverse imagery all along!

Dude... put your original reel back up. Just because you had nude scenes and some chick got offended calling it porn material is just a sign of immaturity. At least it shows you were professional and trusted enough to get artistically nude shots.

I think if you are trying to sell ads, it's a good idea to have a short and punchy reel. It's not because you took the boobs out that the reel is better, it's because you tightened up the package, which is a closer delivery to what getting a concise message accross in 30 seconds is all about.
 
That was very nice. I saw the first version and i like this much better. The soccer stuff was cut down, you addressed the "prude/porno" comments and I think that the guys in the dinghy are still pissed. Nice job, it looks great.
