Schneider lens on a GH2?

My friend has offered to loan me Schneider fixed lenses to use with, my soon to be arriving, GH2. They are from a 35mm ARRI 2C package he no longer uses.
I know nothing about these lenses except of their great reputation and ask whether there is an adapter out there that would work for me. Anyone have suggestions? Thanks for your help. RJ

Yes there are adapters. An Arri 2C uses Arri Standard mount, IINM. There are Arri Standard->m43 lens adapters available on ebay.

If perchance the lenses you get are Arri Bayonet mount, that's slightly different and you may need to pick up a PL->m43 adapter and some Arri Bayonet->PL mount adapters.

Yep, those look like those are probably Arri Standard.

And an Angenieux zoom? I'm not familiar with a 20-240. There's a 12-240, which is a 16mm lens. Or are you talking about a 24-290? I take it you haven't seen it yet? If you want to use that 24-290 on a GH2... well, the phrase of a chihuahua trying to impregnate a Mastodon comes to mind. Bring a forklift -- that's one massive lens!

Thanks again Barry. Yep, you are right. The Angenieux is 12-240 and it looks like a canon! Probably won't go there.
Thanks again, RJett

You could use that 12-240, but only in ETC mode. It wouldn't cover the entire frame when in normal mode. And if it's the 12-240, that means it's TINY compared to the 24-290! :) Seriously, that 24-290 is a foot and a half long and weighs 24 pounds...

Hi,
I'm using this adapter from hawks factory on my GH2 for my speed panchro lenses. It has a focusing tab for proper focusing. I've used another adapter that requires screws to hold the lens, and the hawks adapter is superior.
