This coming weekend (8/29-8/30) Chuck Palahniuk, an amazing writer and early champion of "schism", is appearing at a couple big events in New York City to promote his latest book "Snuff" and the movie "Choke" -- which we saw (and loved!) at Sundance earlier this year.

Palahniuk's readings are always a lot of fun, but one thing that will make them even more special this time around is that Chuck is taking promotional DVD's of "schism" on the road with him!

Obviously this is a huge honor. Chuck requested the DVD's as prizes for his Q&A's. Chuck has been really great to us since we finished the film and we really owe the guy. A possible future movie collaboration??!?! We wish!

So here's the info on both events straight from "The Cult" (www.chuckpalahniuk.net). As you'll see, if you can't make these events they will be online for your viewing pleasure!

Great news, every bit of promotion will help...if i was in the area i would be there for sure i cant wait to see schism but alas im on the wrong side of the country...hope all goes well tho.

I really like your colors! Is most of that done in post? what programs do you use? Your shooting on a DVX, correct? how do you get your footage out to 16x9?

thanks for the post. "m1best" was the lighting master on the production, i asked him to pop on here and hook you up. give him some examples and he can let you know how we made it happen...

i used the adobe line: premiere, audition, photoshop, and encore.

we shot with a single DVX100A in 24pA mode.

the new news for the week is that reps from the National Alzheimer's Association have seen the film. Their PR dept head and i spoke over the phone and they will be sending reps out to participate in Q&A's at screenings for "schism". obviously this is great news. hopefully this is just the beginning of the film's relationship with the organization.

now we just need to get some more screenings. anyone know some good outlets for dramas?
