Hello,

which is the best setting for shooting theatricals?
Is there anything special I have to think about? I shoot all the time in manuel mode.

Thanks and greets,

I shoot flat. Usually 1080 30p or 24p.

No shutter or 1/30 (1/24 for 24p) depending on light issues. I try not to use gain if possible.

My settings are typically

Ped -5
coring +3
Detail -3
Cine-D

Ask the lighting tech what there lights are (5600 or 3200). It can be a pain sorting out WB since often the spot is a diff WB that other lights, not to mention they will probably have there gels on them already. So I usually use either the 3200 or 5600 preset.

At least if the WB is off it is consistently off and the same cc can be applied to the whole shoot.

The rest you know.
