Scene setting question

I've got a question, I just bought a HVX and I'm using a Letus with the HVX, is it wise to put the detail to -2 to give it a nice soft film type look or go +2 or keep it at zero, I like my footage to look like film rather then video, can anyone give me some help.


Also just give post some scene settings for me to look from to make one of mine, I have a shoot this saturday and sunday and I wanna' be able to do it well.

I have Never used a 35mm adapter, but i hear you lose light.
if your lighting your scene i would leave it at zero.
if your not using lights i would crank up the noise just a tad
,but i think noise is annoying

and if your not talkn about noise im clueless


just do some tests before your shoot

If you bought your HVX new you should have received Barry's book. It has scene file images and settings in there that you can compare (for your next shoot).
