Scene Recognition System

Imagine if you could record your multiple settings for a specific scene and the cam recognises the same scene next time you shoot it and makes the same settings. Much less time spent for shooting .....not only useful for camera operators but for actors also.
Who doesn't belive that can go and ask actors what they think about this...

If it's too task demanding for the processor to be used in realtime, it could be switched on and off when a scene in shot - as a quick setting.
Offcourse, a scene settings data base would be neccesary.

An innovative camera like this could use some innovative functions.

I think Nikon still cameras have some database in the camera that compares the lighting and colors of what you are photographing to the thousands of photos stored in the database, to determine the correct exposure, especially for flash photography. I know that this is not what you are talking about, but if the camera could determine the settings you want by comparing the image to the thousands of images in its database and then find a close match. It would then use the settings that were used to film the match. RED should findout how Nikon got it to work. I read it in Popular Photography a few years back. I don't remember the issue. I think it was used mainly to get the colors right when taking a flash photo. The application would be different of course, but the concept of having a database should be looked at. The camera should also be smart and if it sees lots of motion, it should increas the shutter speed. An example would be if I am photographing the stars. The camera would find another photo of stars in its database without me doing anything, and would automatically change my settings to those best for filming stars. This would be a mode you could turn off.
