Here are some screen grabs just for the hell of it:

The direct picture links were working earlier tonight, so I think my server is being stingy now. If you can't see any pictures above, just follow this link:

I was only to see a few grabs but the rest doesn't work. The grabs looks nice though. The video link isn't working at all..

Ok, I won't comment on the acting. The editing seemed to work. The lighting wasn't bad until they looked into the back room where the bike was. I believe it was supposed to look like a dark room that was light up from the flashlight but it wasn't the case. Too much direct light coming from the wrong direction. It was a little disorienting. I like shot of the guy cycling at end.

The acting is horrifying and is usually the first thing that will sink a project. I do like the premise of the film; it's original and atmospheric. The lighting doesnt work for me as it is just too dark to watch; I know it is subterranean in nature but this where I think lighting for dark/night really comes into play; it is very distracting and hard to watch. There are some interesting compositions and framing choices whereas I imagine you were somewhat limited due to the confines of the location.

Nice grabs

Nice grabs

I found the concept interesting…the lighting, I would have to agree with Bob and John. The grabs are pretty nice though.

Slightly OT but what were your compressions specs for your WMV clip? I thought it was pretty decent. I’m planning on going with QT but I see here I might have a decent option with Windows too.

I liked it. I liked the music and I liked the story. After years of watching sitcoms, the acting didn't seem all that bad. The fight was a little stupid and the guy dying was fakie but all in all, it worked for me. Where can I see the whole thing?

I don't have a file uploaded of the whole movie yet. It would be a pretty big file and I think I'm nearing the limit that my server allows. I'll see what I can do, though.

Thanks for the comments. I shot this thing a year ago and I've begun to spot a lot of its flaws - in all their horrible glory.

I used Windows Media Encoder to do the compression with - it's the best I've found.

Ok first the good... I liked the editing for the most part. The music slightly reminded me of something off the sci-fi channel. Now the not so good.... Acting is terrible, I'm sorry, I am an actor and I'm already over critical of myself. As far as the night scene. If your not sure about the color and afraid of too much black... Which seemed to be what happened here, then shoot it bright and adjust the light (in post) Vegas has a pretty convinving night preset in color curves. I shot a guy driving a car during the day and then adjusted the curves to night and was astonished how well changed the light to night. Unfortunatley. This cannot always work, because you have flashlights it would turn them to moonlight (not very real), so shooting night scene is tricky, but I think I would always use more light then what looks natural, because there is post for that:)
