Scene Files - the stock ones

Hello Listers,

Of the stock scene files on the HPX, which ones did you get rid of and why?

Or, which of them do you really like?

totally depends on what youre shooting.

but you dont need to "get rid" of any of them.
 
True.

Being new to the HPX, I was curious if out of the 6 stock ones, which ones get left behind. With my DVX series cams, there were some files I never used and replaced and all of them were tweeked a bit over time. Although the option to save a large collection of files to SD cards is a great option, for me, 6 carefully chosen files is probably all I need. Do folks routinely need more than that?

to be honest, you dont hear a whole lot of talk about scene files. from what i gather, (and practice) most folks just tweak things here and there to get the best clean image for what they need then do whatever styling in post.

Out of six available on the DVX, I usually shot only 2-3 of them once I found the look I thought I liked. Trouble is, my files probably could have been improved quite a bit. Maybe some folks have the time to monkey with the scene files, but I am usually pressed for time and just want something reliable and predictable. Think Kodacolor or Ecktachrome. So I am very appreciative of the efforts by others who take the time to refine the files and share them. Thanks to those that do.
