Scene Files and Recording Setup

I am setting scene files on the camera and have the following problem.

On the scene file dial I have saved positions 1-4 as 720p24n with various frame rates so I can switch from say 24fps on position 1 to 60fps on position 4. That works fine. However, on scene file 5 I want to record time lapse. For interval record the record format has to be in 720p30p. When I save this setting to scene file 5 and then switch to scene file 1 (saved to record 720p24n) the recording format changes to 720p30p. In fact all the scene files are now in the 720p30p recording format.

Is this normal? Am I doing anything wrong?
 
You have to manually set the recording mode/frame rate in the "recording setup" menu back to 720p24pn. The scene files don't remember frame rates like on the DVX.
 
Small correction: the scene files *do* remember frame rates, but the scene files don't remember your recording setup. You have to change the recording setup menu back to 720/24pN. But if you do so, you'll find that your scene files do remember your variable frame rates.
