Scene File Sharing...here's one I like.

Now let me start by saying that I am no one. i'm just a guy who has had 2 dvxs, 2 hvxs, 2 gh1s and now 2 af-100s. I've been playing around with the scene files a bunch, actually obsessing about it. I'm driving my wife nut-baggy. I was wondering if people would like to share some interesting combos that they have tried and liked. After much fiddling, the one I came up with so far that I like is-

Filmcam
detail level -5
v detail level -5
detail coring +4
chroma level +1
chroma phase 0
color temp ach and bch 0
master ped -3
drs off
gamma cine-like d
matrix norm 2

I have no technical reasons why this is a proper scene file setting, I have just been going by eye. I think it is pretty "filmic" ( notice I did put filmic in quotes so don't get all weird) has decent dynamic range and would lend itself to some decent grading. That's it, I hope others would like to share as well. Take care.

Right now I have

Filmcam

Detail -5
VDetail -7
Coring +2
Chroma +2
Gamme Cine D
Matrix Norm 2

I have done a comparison of setups, some of the most common here on DVXUser and other setups.

Download un"youtube"compressed

I would like people to guess witch setup belongs to what settings and say witch the like the best.

Setup 6: Detail +1 | Detail Coring -1 | Master Ped -1 | Cine-Like V | Matrix Cine Like
Setup 5: V Detail +3 | Detail Coring +2 | Master Ped -4 | B-Press | Matrix Norm 2
Setup 4: Detail -2 | Detail Coring +2 | Master Ped -0 | Cine-Like D | Matrix Cine-Like
Setup 3: V Detail -4 | Detail -4 | Detail Coring +2 | Master Ped -2 | Cine-Like V | Matrix Norm 2
Setup 2: Video Cam | V Detail -5 | Detail -5 | Detail Coring +4 | Chroma level +4 | Master Ped -3 | Cine-Like d | Matrix Norm 2
Setup 1: Video Cam | V Detail -0 | Detail -0 | Detail Coring +0 | Chroma level +0 | Master Ped -0 | HD Norm | Matrix Norm 2

If it is not mentioned its 0 and Film Cam mode.

A is my favorite setting and D is Barry Greens recommended favorite settings. (he lets us decide between Norm2 and cine like V so I chose the later)

All is shot in:
Pal 25p
Iso 200
2900k
Shutter 180d
PH-mode
Lumix 20mm f1.7
Critical focus on the hedgehogs eye.

P.S. my name means "Hedgehog Film"

Since nr 5 is the cleanest and has high contrast I bet this one is with Cinelike V and Norm 2. Nr 4 is the noisiest so I guess this one is Cine D and Cinelike.

I like setups 5 & 6.

When can we find out the correct answers?

Setup 1: Video Cam | V Detail -0 | Detail -0 | Detail Coring +0 | Chroma level +0 | Master Ped -0 | HD Norm | Matrix Norm 2
Setup 2: Video Cam | V Detail -5 | Detail -5 | Detail Coring +4 | Chroma level +4 | Master Ped -3 | Cine-Like d | Matrix Norm 2
Setup 3: V Detail -4 | Detail -4 | Detail Coring +2 | Master Ped -2 | Cine-Like V | Matrix Norm 2
Setup 4: Detail -2 | Detail Coring +2 | Master Ped -0 | Cine-Like D | Matrix Cine-Like
Setup 5: V Detail +3 | Detail Coring +2 | Master Ped -4 | B-Press | Matrix Norm 2
Setup 6: Detail +1 | Detail Coring -1 | Master Ped -1 | Cine-Like V | Matrix Cine Like

As I did this comparison I noticed you could almost pick anyone just get the exposure right and it looks good.
I will use nr 6 when am recording.

And setup 2 is the most common referred to but look at it compared to setup 1 and you see that you loose all definition in the hedgehogs fur. Image becomes noticeably soft.
