scene file setup

Hi,

I am camera operator on a short film being shot in 2 weeks time. I was just wondering what is the best scene file setup to use for the DVX100a to get the most film-like appearance, and also if it might be transferred to film. I just finished using the DVX100b on a feature film using the number 5 scene file with a setup from swiss effects. Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Peter.

Nothing?

I was wondering about this too. I haven't seen anything about scene files in the forums. Does anyone use them?

Hi,

Scene file 5 is for when you want to shoot 24p. This is what all the "pros" do I believe to get the most 'filmic' look. I have my DVX100 locked into that position as I always want to make it look like film.

Cheers,

Chris

this is an amazing thread. Check it out and play with these settings. I've got the DVX100 and put all these scene files in and am more then impressed with the different scene file settings mentioned.

And to go even farther, you can take these settings and then adjust them even more to accommodate more of your needs.

don't limit your self to the pre-set scene file settings.

cheers.
