i have a question about the scene file dial...f2-f4 do not seem to be labeled as 24p settings, but they certainly look like it. in addition, my lcd panel has a 24p at the top for those settings, while the f1 setting has a 60i.

are f2-f4 actually 24p? if not, then what are they?

On my DVX100A f1-f4 is 60i, f5 is 24pn, and f6 is 24PA. Did you get your camera used? Mabye the previous owner set all the 60i modes to 24p?

i did get it used so maybe that explains it.

so f1-f4 all say "FR 60i" on your lcd panel at the top? on mine f2-f6 all say "FR 24p".

My settings are the same as four eyed monsters.... Lithos, if you want the original settings there is a way to restore back to factory settings. Don't remember off hand what it is, but its in the manual and in the DVX book (if you have it)

Go into the scene file and scroll all the way through it. The last option is SAVE/INIT. Select yes. In the next screen you can save the scene file as you want or return it to its original factory setting / Initail.... select Initial go to next screen and select YES. Done.
