Scene file interpretation

It would be nice to be able to emulate the specific settings from the link below on any camera, not just the DVX100a, provided the available settings are there.

http://panasonic.com/business/provideo/sd_scene_select.asp

These scene files and images from a high-end Panasonic camera (AJ-SDX900) are downloadable, but the resulting text file appears to have setting values in hexadecimal. Any idea how to convert these to integer form (numbers or even percentages) to use on another camera?

I don't have Barry Green's book, so I thought this would be a fun and inexpensive thing to try.

There are a million settings in that SDX that the DVX doesn't have. It'd probably be pretty difficult to try to apply those settings to the DVX.

On The DVX DVD, I included recipes for a dozen looks that match (or attempt to match) "Magic Bullet Movie Looks".

How about a quick-and-dirty conversion of some of the DVX settings for non-DVX users?

The book looks great, but I don't think it will help me without a whole bunch of translation and potential failure.

Decoding the bulk of the AJ-SDX900 scene files should be useful if someone knows how to do it.
