Scene file advice for upcoming music video

I have tried the BBC settings too, what i think they are for are to record the most dynamic range and most shadow detail. They are not meant to be seen as is but to be allow the colour grader the most room to play with. I found i could push things quite a bit in post regarding colour and contrast.
To my eyes Cine D seems softer than the non cine gammas, i tend to use Vivid a lot. I also tend to use pedestal betweeen -6 and -10 but i do lose some shadow detail but the crushed blacks do add a little punch.
I would have thought with the pool and white background Cine D would give you a bigger safety net regards exposure, it will need some post work give give you that PUNCH that most music vids seem to use these days.
As i live in the UK i dont have much experience of the Lovely (Bright) Texas weather so ill let others more local to you give their advice

I mostly use Cine D as it seems to produce the least noise on my 370, and Cine V is a lot more noisy, even if you push the contrast in post to make Cine D to make it look like V, it's still cleaner. Actually, any in-camera setting I seem to use that boosts contrast seems to have a negative effect on the noise.
Also, one interesting thing I noted is to stay away from DRS in 720p if you're using Cine D, it will actually make you lose dynamic range! Overall, the 370 doesn't seem like the "straight-out-of-camera footage" type to me, it really starts to look good once you start color correcting, so good thing it's 4:2:2, eh?
